about

Up next from Broken Core Collective is the highly anticipated EP from Coman Dante - Strider. Coman Dante has gone from strength to strength in the DnB scene; his last release on Barcode Recordings was alongside some of the heavyweights in the dark Drum and Bass/Crossbreed scene and this EP solidifies his position there.

First up we have the title track of the EP- Strider, featuring haunting vocals from Aeon dropping into some absolutely slamming drums. Coman Dante is really starting to flex his producing skills here with tasteful vocal cuts over some really hard hitting drum edits.

Secondly we see him teaming up with one of the legends of the hard Drum and Bass scene; Peter Kurten. This was the first time these two worked together and the results are outstanding with noticeable influences from both producers. The gut-wrenching snare leads the way as the rest of the drums follow suit, over a classically distorted sub bass.

Third in line is a remix of Peter Kurten's cult classic 'Kill Me' by Coman Dante & Inhumanoid (formerly known as Jacob Inhuman). As this was a Peter Kurten favorite for both, and they certainly pulled out all the stops. A slow and steady atmospheric build-up comes crashing down into a rattling drumsection gathering momentum throughout the track, until it's T-boned by a massive hardcore kick.

Last but certainly not least we have ‘Mindless’ which samples the classic ‘The realm’ acapella so well known throughout dance music. Coman Dante comes through with a refreshing twist on this classic, making it very much his own sound. Those who have seen him perform in the last few years will definitely recognise this one with its addictive vocals and huge, tearing reese, supported by relentlessly funky drums.
